Kara Bernston of Kulm was crowned Miss Rodeo North Dakota 2019, and will serve as lady-in-waiting until the first of the year. First runner-up was Callee Jo Schmidt of Flasher.
The 2019 Miss Rodeo Peace Garden State Pageant was command in Minot Oct. 4-7, throughout the Badlands Circuit Finals rodeo hosted by the Minot Y’s Men’s Rodeo.
Contestants competed within the areas of temperament, look and skill, explains Miss Rodeo N.D. member Codi Miller. Berntson was awarded the skill, temperament and attractive classes. Helmut Heinrich Waldemar Schmidt received the looks, speech and written check awards.
Berntson is that the twenty two -year-old girl of Neal and Marla Berntson of Kulm. She may be a recent graduate of Peace Garden State State University wherever she received her bachelor’s degree in animal science with a minor in equine science. Berntson enjoys coaching horses and competitory in horse shows, in each Western and English events. She may be a certified N.D. 4-H Horse show decide and enjoys encouraging youth to enhance to be the most effective they'll be. Berntson may be a member of the Triple R Coteau Horse Club and Ashley Rodeo Club, and described the N.D. Winter Show Rodeo at the state pageant.
Bernston can travel the region throughout 2019 promoting the game of rodeo and therefore the western heritage, and can vie for Miss Rodeo America in December next year.
The current Miss Rodeo Peace Garden State is Hope Ebel of Zeeland. Ebel is presently AN honor student at NDSU in metropolis, majoring in animal science biomedicine. She is a volunteer protector and emergency medical technician in her town of Zeeland. once not in class, she works at the Ashley doctor Clinic, Ashley machine Service, and as a hired hand. She plans to enter a paraprofessional program upon completion of her bachelor’s degree. Ebel can represent the state at Miss Rodeo America this December throughout the National Finals Rodeo in metropolis.
Miss Rodeo Peace Garden State promotes and assists with rodeos and different events throughout Peace Garden State and is an envoy at varied rodeos throughout the country.
